Statue of Harmony
At the edge of Thanksgiving Square is this sculpture unveiled in April 2005 called the ‘Statue of Harmony’. It was created by the Scottish artist Andy Scott and made by P.F. Copeland.
The sculpture is poised on a globe which symbolizes the oneness of mankind.
The female figure represents various allegorical themes associated with hope and aspiration, peace and reconciliation and is derived from images from Classical and Celtic mythology.1
Donations for the project were provided by a cross-community group.
