Sculpture Park

Very close to Punta Gorda is this small sculpture park with numerous contemporary works of art. The park has only quite recently been established and was probably waste ground before the local government decided to change it. And for that matter it’s been a welcome consequence of that decision.

            Each of the exhibits have been created by local and national talents. They are signed by the artists and displayed on bronze plates around the work of art also indicating the names of each piece.

            The exhibits were made in 2007 although it’s not indicated whether this was when the park was officially inaugurated. Most of those who participated here include Fidel Reina Palacios, Osmany Caro Yulls, Alberto Sanchez Lago, Willian Perez, Antonio Nuñez Chaviano and Juan Garcia Cruz.
