Sanctuary of Apollo is a temple west of the ancient city of Kourion. Apollo was worshipped here as God of the Woodland from 8th century BC – 4th AD. Building of this temple first began under Emperor Augustus, then Emperor Trajan (98-117AD). A partial reconstruction was built 1980. Other ruins consist of pilgrim halls, baths, palistra and a holy street.
