The South Belfast Northern Ireland Supporters Club was founded in the Albion Bar. This building was opened by Mr Roy Dickson in 2002. Subsequently, this historic footprint matches an enthusiastic desire to please its clientele with exquisite dishes. This main room can accommodate 70-75 people while [...]

Found in the Rialto area, these markets have been selling fish here for 600 years and still a traditional feature of Venice. From the 11th century it became the commercial heart of Venice. Also possible to cross to the other side of the Grand Canal by gondola from here.

Smithfield Market
Wednesday, June 7th, 2006
Smithfield Market, Belfast, since the 1800s was a local market and focal point for Belfast traders and customers alike. A new building was erected in 1986 after the pre-fab units of the old Victorian market were bombed in 1974. Art work inside tells the story of this market while streets close by also have their own historic moments: Pipe Lane, Milk of Magnesium.

A Bolognese café bar with a good reputation. It displays many portraits on its walls of past and present clients by the artist Paolo Roversi. Established in 1913 but present owners took control in 1990. Exhibitions are also staged in the back. The aperitivo is well received especially washed down with one of the many famous wines they stock.

The Water Margin
Wednesday, June 7th, 2006
The Water Margin Restaurant is located in a former Presbyterian Church on Donegall Pass. The original roof trusses and columns are painted purple but still present an antique feature to the back drop of Chinese vases and beautiful stain glass windows. A 24 page menu and private rooms with Karaoke has its obvious advantages without being too cheesy.

Est. in 1826 The Crown Bar was transformed under the Flanagan family. Patrick employed Italian craftsmen to work on this Victorian gin palace. Their effort created a world famous bar: ornately decorated stain glass windows, polychromatic tiles, rich colours and wood carvings abound, not to mention the many quirky and antique features inside.
