Designed by John O’Shea and E J Byrne, St Mary’s University College was a fashionable mixture of several historical styles. Opened 1900 by the Dominican Sisters with 100 female students. It was extended and refurbished in 1953 & 1973. Interesting stain glass and antique furniture are found around the building especially in the chapel for students.
