Villa delle Rose was an 19th century villa occupied by many families. Nerina Armandi de’ Piccoli finally gave it to Bologna in 1916 for use as an art gallery. It consists of a large park, Italian and English gardens with many types of trees, exotic plants and flowers. There are sculptures from 1900s by Romagnoli, Baruzzi, Montaguti and others.

A brief walk from corner of Bancroft through the Gardens towards Nightingale Road. They are managed by the local council and are generally seen in good full bloom. Footage also includes a view of the band stand which is rarely in use. A children’s park is located in the corner but not shown here.
