Built in 1617 beside Porta Gervasona on alms raised by sailors. Madonna della Scala was erected due to a miraculous event when a sailor was saved from drowning after praying to an image of the Madonna. Alessandro Codrini painted a famous fresco above the altar in 1680. It’s been restored several times also thanks to Vincenzo Roberto Pasquini.
