Belfast Clonard Church
The Redemptorists, from Italy, established their base in 1896 in Belfast. Not until 1911 at a cost of 32,000 pounds was Clonard Church of the Most Holy Redeemer built. A monastery preceded it in 1890. Red granite columns support a Gothic structure while mosaics and ornate decorative elements are on display on the 5 side altars.
