Belfast Dunville Park
A gift in 1891 by the Dunville family plus £5,000 for extras. Opened to the public in 1892 by the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava. The fountain designed by Pearce is similar to a French Renaissance-style Victoria fountain in Glasgow. Earlier times children played on a giant Maypole as a swing. Proposal for a visitor’s center may come into effect soon.
