Water Works, Belfast, was constructed 1840s but Belfast soon outgrew its use. For years the play ground of the wealthy with aquatic shows, fireworks, swimming galas and more. In 1956 it became a public park. Nesting birds include wild ducks, swans, cormorants and herons. However, the park has a hidden past of drugs and unsocialable behaviour.
