Bologna Terre Rare shop
About Terre Rare shop
This art shop sits on a busy thorough-fare, also next to a well-known shopping area on Via D’Azeglio.
Founded in 1995, it used to be exclusively dedicated to contemporary ceramics, however, over the following years it enlarged its collection to encompass paintings and applied art works such as iron, stone, glass, papier-mâché, clay and many other materials.
The focus is on artists who produce original and unique works.
From 1997 the gallery has been concentrating on artists with a greater international acclaim, for example, in France, England and Argentina. In this same year the shop began exhibiting artists who were chosen to display their work on a permanent basis.
Authors whose work is permanently displayed are painters Annarosa Serafini, Bruno Cassaglia, ceramic artists such as Ingrid Mair Zischg and Tonino Negri. While others include Nicoletta dal Vera, Stefania Malferrari, Mirco Denicolo’, Angelica Drossaki, Gabriella Sacchi-Nibe, Georgio Azzaretti, and Ernst Palko.
Quite often there are special events or a specific exhibition in another larger room at the back of the shop.
