Choirokoitia Choirokoitia Neolithic Village

Settlers arrived here circa 9000BC. They brought with them technical skills that are evident in complex entrances, defensive walls and also had a strong sense of community relationships. Houses were round with flat roofs and made from pisé, sun dried mudbricks or stone. Astonishingly, the dead were buried in pits in their own homes!
